Thank you to everyone who commented on last week's post, "What do you know about Uganda." We found out some very interesting things about Uganda:

- Uganda is called the "Pearl of Africa."

- 12% of the country is Muslim and 84% is Christian.

- Joseph Kony's role in it with his army of child soldiers and rebels (Lord's Reserve Army). (The Invisible Children nonprofit bases out of Uganda. They first informed the world about the LRA. Thanks, Betsy for the information.)

- Many African's have families that are much larger. (It is typical of African families to have 6-8 kids. We are talking still having babies at the age of 50.)

These are solid facts about the country you are going to. As for everyone who said they no nothing, that's fine because you will, especially while you are in the country.

----------------------------------------

Now, let's devulge a little deeper into your country. What I would like to ask is what problems does Uganda face? Are there factors that make everyday living very difficult? Are they environmental? Political? Ethnic and Social? Religious?

Let's see what we can find and report our findings back here. If you are stuck, try a news site. They are usually great for country information as well as the most up-to-date issues affecting where you are going.
