Hey everyone!
I am Kate Neitzer and I live in Madison, Wisconsin, but my hometown is in Crivitz, Wisconsin (northeastern Wisconsin), yesterday it got up to 40 degrees, yay! I am a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (GO BADGERS!) and just applied to the nursing program here. At home I work at a nursing home as a nursing assistant and love all my old people! My sister is graduating from high school this year which will leave my parents empty nesters this fall.
At school I enjoy going to our football games and got to rush the field this year! When it gets nice out I like to study or read by the lake and go for runs, but for now the snow makes it pretty here and keeps away the tourists. I love being part of a large school and have found some great community through involvement in Campus Crusade for Christ. I'm involved in a Bible study now and am thinking about leading one next year. My family takes a lot of family vacations so I've fallen in love with traveling and am by all means up for adventure. I am going to have a tough time parting with diet pepsi though and will avoid most anything involving heights.
For the past five or six summers I have spent a week as a counselor for a person with disabilities at Camp Daniel, a camp close to my home and heart. I have developed some amazing bonds with my campers and God has really broken my heart for this group of people. Freshman year of high school I spent a week on a mission trip in Montana on an Indian reservation, so that's about the most adventurous mission trip I've been on. I am excited/nervous to put myself in a postilion where I NEED to rely on God. I think when I am so busy with school and because of the type of culture we live in, it's easy to forget that I need Him. I'm also excited to see how He is going to use me and us. I looking forward to sharing Christ's love with everyone we encounter and can't wait to meet you all!
